A 5K Obstacle Run to Benefit the American Cancer Society
May 17, 2015
Event Location: Lutherdale Bible Camp
LYO May event
St. Matthew to run at 1:00 p.m.
The Cancer Assault Challenge isn’t defined by any one thing. We’re not just about fitness, or motivation, or making anyone “better.” CAC is 100% attitude. Our event is designed to get YOU OFF the couch, out of the house, having fun together and raising cancer awareness. In groups. In costumes. In mud. We don’t require training or any particular level of athleticism. Instead, we encourage you to “come as you are”. Hey, it’s all for a good cause: proceeds benefit The American Cancer Society Walworth County Relay For Life.
Are you up to the extreme run? This will be a challenging 5K with 10-12 obstacles, including water, climbing, endurance, and mud. You must be 13+ to participate in the run. In an effort to include everyone who may want to help raise money for the cause, we also have the couch potato run which will be 1+ mile and include a minimum of 5 obstacles and is open to ages 6 years old through adult. We won’t be timing the waves, but feel free to bring your own stopwatch and challenge a friend’s time. Don’t worry about how fast you get through the course, just grab a friend and sign up to come have some fun in the mud!
Reduced fees if you enter BEFORE May 1. Registration forms are in the narthex. Kelly will take registrations and checks to Lutherdale at 1:30 on Thursday, April 30.
