Here I Am, Lord   #574

“I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin my hand will save.
I, who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them?  Whom shall I send?”
Here I am, Lord.  Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

“I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them.  They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone, give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my word to them.  Whom shall I send?”
Here I am, Lord.  Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

“I, the Lord of wind and flame,  I will tend the poor and lame,  I will set a feast for them.  My hand will save.  Finest bread I will provide till their hearts be satisfied.  I will give my life to them.  Whom shall I send?”
Here I am, Lord.  Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

87 I Have Decided To Follow Jesus

I have decided to follow Jesus,
I have decided to follow Jesus,
I have decided to follow Jesus
No turning back,
No turning back!

Tho no one join me, still I will follow,
Tho no one join me, still I will follow,
Tho no one join me, still I will follow
No turning back,
No turning back!

The world behind me, the cross before me,
The world behind me, the cross before me,
The world behind me, the cross before me
No turning back,
No turning back!

Take the whole world, but, give me Jesus
Take the whole world, but, give me Jesus
Take the whole world, but, give me Jesus
I’ll follow him, I’ll follow him.

I Love to Tell the Story   #661

I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
of Jesus and his glory, of Jesus and his love.
I love to tell the story, because I know it’s true;
it satisfies my longings as nothing else would do.
I love to tell the story; ‘twill be my theme in glory
to tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love.

I love to tell the story: how pleasant to repeat
what seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet!
I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
the message of salvation from God’s own holy word.
I love to tell the story; ‘twill be my theme in glory
to tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love.

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,
I’ll sing the old, old, story that I have loved so long.
I love to tell the story; ‘twill be my theme in glory
to tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love.
